Dunbrody is from unique bloodlines and is only stallion of his breeding in the United States. He hails from Wales and was purchased initially by Deirdre and Brian Cash, Clononeen Farm Ireland.

Dunbrody has an unforgettable presence; to meet this horse in person is to be changed. His temperament and intelligence are outstanding, and his foals have shown to inherit both his warmth of mind and natural athleticism. His favorite show class is lead line where he has the honor of carrying the wee ones into the ring. He LOVES children, lifting his head to greet them when they enter the barn and accepting endless cookies from little fingers so carefully.....

Brody is a mystical creature, his eyes look deeply into all he surveys. A true leader he is both gentle and firm in his ways with all of us. A gifted teacher, he makes himself clear even to those who have never “heard” a horse speak. He first appeared to Marisa in a sweat lodge ceremony. This began an extraordinary journey of years to find and purchase him. The Navajo, Hopi and Pueblo people tell of Blue Horse Wisdom and it’s time of revelation in North America. Dunbrody’s story grows more extraordinary as time passes.

Dunbrody Foals
Brody is known for his foals. He is a sire of potent qualities and as the gypsies say is “generous” with them.
- a fine and refined head
- free, strong and correct shoulder
- driving powerfully from the rear with an excellent croup
- plentiful bone
- a triple mane and triple tail
- straight, silky and abundant feather

Dunbrody’s foals are tremendous movers with excellent shoulders driving well from behind. Natural athletes with quality bone and good height they are excelling in a number of disciplines. Brody himself is a true pleasure to drive. He possesses a lively driving gait and is willing to give you as much as you ask of him. His extended trot under saddle is lovely and free, this suspension is passed along to his foals.

Colors - His offspring have been grey, black, grey and white, black and white, tri colored, appaloosa (when bred to an appaloosa colored gypsy mare).

One of his 2 year old fillies was evaluated (spring 2008) by an Olympic trainer for dressage potential. She was rated as one of the soundest fillies with the greatest physical potential for dressage that he had seen in recent years. Another Dunbrody filly has the honor of being one of the highest scoring yearlings inspected in the USA

One of my favorite quotes came from dear friends in Ireland who upon walking into a field of mares and fillies commented that you could pick out Dunbrody’s foals in a minute. It is true, they stand out. The proof of this great sire has truly been in the pud.
